Project Details

In 2024, Straight Talk Foundation (STF) was selected by Sonke Gender Justice to continue serving as the secretariat for the MenEngage Uganda Network. In this role, STF coordinates a coalition of 19 member organizations working collectively to promote gender equality and positive masculinities across Uganda. The network brings together diverse actors from civil society, youth-led organizations, and health advocacy groups to drive coordinated action.

Through this platform, STF strengthens collaboration, learning, and collective impact by supporting members to adopt Gender Transformative Approaches (GTA). This has led to the growth of a vibrant community of practice where organizations share knowledge, align strategies, and scale evidence-based interventions.

MenEngage Uganda activities are supported by the Swedish International Development Agency, enabling sustained efforts to shift harmful gender norms and advance inclusive, equitable societies.
