Straight talk foundation is supported to implement the Defending Girls Futures through the reduction of teenage pregnancy and child marriage project in Northern and North Eastern Uganda. The project aims at reducing child marriage, teenage pregnancy and its effects in the targeted districts of Gulu, Nwoya, Amuru and Omoro in Northern Uganda, and Nakapiripirit, Napak, Nabilatuk, Kotido and Moroto in Karamoja Region. The project is implemented in collaboration with over 40 Village Health Teams/Peer educators, 74 schools, 148 school teachers, 108 health workers and more than 2,160 parents in all the districts.
