The Straight Talk Club Development Program
In 2016, Straight Talk Foundation in partnership with UNGR (Denmark) supported by the Danish Youth Fund (DUF) concluded work on its three-year club development project. Initial training was conducted in six school clubs in line with the newly developed STF Club Model. We worked with 6 youth leaders from Denmark and Uganda who reached 121 club members and 11 Patrons. The youth leaders conducted training and club development advocacy meetings with local government leaders and school administrations in the 6 districts (Masaka, Kisoro, Kabale, Rukungiri, Kasese, and Mbale). By the end of the project schools were trained in 15 districts, and over the three-year period brought the total number of active clubs in this initiative increased to 210 clubs. 13,703 young people were reached in the 210 clubs visited.
