ADRA TOGETHER PROJECT
Uniting Towards Gender Equality for Enjoyment of Women and Girls total health and Rights (TOGETHER) project is implemented by Straight Talk Foundation and Mildmay Uganda supported by ADRA targeting the districts of Kitgum, Pader, Agago, and Lamwo. This project aims to increase the enjoyment of health-related rights for the most vulnerable children, adolescent girls and boys, and women and men in Uganda, especially those with intersecting vulnerabilities in indigenous, remote, or resettlement settings. The project will empower individuals and communities to advocate for better sexual and reproductive health services and policies. Additionally, the project will educate and encourage young people to engage with their communities and governments to make their voices heard.
TOGETHER will provide training to educators and teachers on providing sex education, both in and out of the classroom. The project will also strengthen local health systems, working closely with local authorities and health facilities to improve health worker capacity and service coverage, including for family planning and sexual gender-based violence related prevention and care.
