Youth Enterprise Model project

Partnerships - Youth Enterprise ModelThe Youth Enterprise Model is supported by UNFPA with technical and financial resources from the Pakard Foundation. It is a pilot project in the districts of Mubende and Kampala. This is implemented by STF in partnership with Reproductive Health Uganda with support from UNFPA in Kampala and Mubende districts.

The project utilizes capacity building for institutional delivery of SRH/FP in the targeted communities, behavior change communication/IEC and advocacy for the successful integration of SRH/FP. Structures for implementation of initiatives include small and medium youth enterprises, commercial banks and micro finance institutions in the access to financial services initiative; whereas Vocational Training Colleges/Institutions (VTC/Is) are within the skills development initiative.

So far, a baseline study was conducted in 4 districts to gain insights into SRH issues among young people in VTIs and enterprises.
