Adolescence is a life phase in which young people are particularly vulnerable health risks related to sexuality and reproduction. In Uganda; adolescents are a key concern as their SRH needs are different from those of adults. In many countries, adolescent sexual and reproductive health remains poorly understood and inadequately served.
In addressing this, STF focus is to address information gaps through its communication programs and delivery of youth friendly services. STF produces age appropriate Behavior Change IEC materials that target all categories of young people including important people in their lives such as parents and teachers. STFs approach takes into account the varied nature of adolescents including those that may show signs of having risky behavior and those that may have already started having sex or are contemplating having sex. STF information provision on SRH is augmented by youth friendly service provision.
